The title could also have included: Blanket/Tapestry Moss Stitch. Question: Do I have to watch the gauge from the beginning of the project to the end? As in, see if I need to tighten it at every single inch basically of the rows/of the project?

I just got the granny square yarn today. I have made 3 squares so far. Use a 4.5 crochet hook. That size works perfect.

They say lace is difficult. It just taking 1 solid colour and take a pretty pattern. Make very small stitches or oversized and it's gonna look amazing. Even just 2 rows or simple crochet with size 12 looks like it is suppose to be that way. Now this technic however, you can mess up with choosing yarn first. Then the stitching number and hook size. Oh boy 😮😅

For me, I think the colors are fine whether they match up or not. I have made several different Granny Squares with the All in one yarn and to me, it looks good.

I am trying this pattern. I get 2 stitches, 3 stitches, 2 stitches, 2, 3, 2. The white and darkest blue colors are quite a bit longer..... Hoping it still works 🤞

great video!! thank you ❤ I’m still a somewhat beginner crocheter but as I look at different yarns, I calculate the price per yard actually as yards per dollar since usually it’s easier to see the disparity in cost & amount. it’s funny cause at the grocery store it’s so easy to see right on the stickers “price per ounce” & I’m like “I NEED THIS FOR YARN!!” lol

Love love love this yarn. Here's the secret: ditch instructions on the back of label. Use a 6.0 (J) crochet hook, chain only two in the corners (instead of three), and leave out the chain one between clusters. This way you will always have yarn of each color left over at the end of your round. Then instead of stressing, simply slip stitch along top until you get to the next start of a cluster where your new color lines up. Works every time without fail and you can't tell. The key is to be flexible and this yarn will make beautiful granny squares for everyone!

I'm a bit late to the planned pooling party and had a question I needed clarified. You don't start the second row until you've completed at least one full set of the color pattern, right? Or does it matter? I got everything else but that was the one thing I couldn't make sense of lol

I bought Party yarn for the first time this year.. now I need more skeins to finish a project and they're sold out. Do you know if it comes out yearly or more often? Did you notice any differences between last years batch and this years? Wondering if they are the same color ways?

I know I’m late to the game and this yarn was discontinued, but it would have driven me nuts. It seems like an endless game of yarn chicken. I love how you made it work, but, honestly, I think it’s just easier to make granny squares the traditional way.

How do you find enough yarn in the same dye lot to complete a project? Your blankets look fairly large, and I can usually only find 2 or 3 skeins in the same dye lot of any kind of yarn. That's not nearly enough for a full-sized blanket.
